About the Cumbria 14-19 Area Prospectus

The Area Prospectus shows detailed information on courses available in the range of providers - schools, sixth forms, colleges and training providers - across the County.

Information in the prospectus comes from individual providers: they maintain their own details about themselves, their courses and open days. The resource is supported by Cumbria County Council Children's Services through the Cumbria 14-19 Strategic Partnership and the five Area 14-19 Partnerships. Connexions Cumbria and the local Learning & Skills Council are also key supporters.

The Cumbria 14-19 Area Prospectus aims to make the range of options clearer and therefore help all young people and their parents or guardians to have informed discussions and make better choices.   The range of options available supports the Cumbria 14-19 Learner Entitlement.

We encourage you to ask for help from a teacher, lecturer or a Connexions Personal Adviser if you need it: they can provide information, advice and guidance to any young person. Connexions Personal Advisers can be contacted in school or through the nearest Connexions Centre
